Democrats Disclose Most Recent Set of Jeffrey Epstein Photos as Department of Justice Time Limit Nears

The Congressional oversight panel has published a set of around 70 photos secured from the holdings of late adjudicated sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

This represents the third publication from a cache of in excess of 95,000 images the committee has obtained from Epstein's property. It features photographs of excerpts from the literary work Lolita scrawled across a female's body, and censored images of female overseas passports.

This action comes mere hours before the 19th of December deadline for the Department of Justice to disclose each records associated with its inquiry into Epstein.

"These latest photographs pose more queries about what exactly the DOJ has in its custody," remarked the Democratic lead of the panel, Robert Garcia.

A number of the photos released on this week feature Epstein speaking with academic and activist Noam Chomsky inside a private jet; Bill Gates positioned alongside a female whose identity is obscured; Steve Bannon sitting at a workstation across from Epstein, and previous Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a dinner event.

These are the latest high-net-worth, powerful men to be pictured in Epstein estate photographs disclosed by the committee - earlier released photos also depict US President Donald Trump and ex-president Bill Clinton, as well as director Woody Allen, previous US Secretary of the Treasury Larry Summers, lawyer Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and others.

Showing up in the images is does not constitute proof of any wrongdoing, and many of the featured men have said they were in no way participating in Epstein's criminal activity.

In a press release issued alongside the image release, Democratic members on the US House Oversight Committee stated the Epstein property holders did not offer background information or timeframes for the photographs.

"Images were chosen to furnish the general populace with clarity into a typical cross-section of the photos obtained from the property, and to give understanding into Epstein's associates and his extremely alarming actions," the release reads.

The publication also includes multiple photos of quotes from the Vladimir Nabokov book Lolita penned in ink across different parts of a female's body, such as her upper body, feet, hip, and spine. Lolita tells the account of a young girl who was manipulated by a adult literature professor.

An example of a excerpt from the work scrawled across a female's torso states, "Lolita: the point of the tongue traveling of three steps down the mouth to land, at three, on the teeth".

The release also contains a series of photographs of female identification and official papers from nations globally, such as Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

The majority of the information on the documents, including names and DOBs, is redacted but the panel stated in a announcement that the passports pertain to "women whom Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirators were engaging".

A further image features Epstein seated at a desk in close proximity surrounded by three women whose faces have been redacted - one has her palm on Epstein's chest under his shirt, and a second is bending to examine a nearby device. Epstein appears to be aiding the third individual attach a bracelet.

A further photograph made public is a screenshot of digital messages from an unnamed individual who claims they have been supplied "a number of girls" and are asking for "$1000 per girl".

Image Release Comes Before DOJ Cut-off

The body has thousands of images in its holdings from the Epstein property, which are "at once explicit and mundane," its press release on this week noted.

The oversight panel first issued a subpoena to the holdings of Epstein, who died in a New York prison in 2019 while awaiting trial on charges of sex trafficking crimes, in August.

The photos and records the Epstein estate gave to the committee are different than what is commonly termed "Epstein-related records". Those are papers within the Department of Justice's control associated with its separate inquiry into Epstein.

In accordance with the recently passed law, which President Trump signed into law last month, the DOJ has a deadline of 19 December to publish its documents. The scope of the contents found in the DOJ's records is unclear, and it's probable that a significant portion of the material will be significantly obscured, comparable to House Oversight Committee materials
