President Trump Calls Loved Ones of Attacked Military Members to White House

Former President Trump stated on Sunday that he has extended an invitation the relatives of a Guard member fatally shot last week to visit the executive mansion.

He mentioned that he spoke to her parents and they were “deeply grieving”.

Information on the Heartbreaking Shooting

Specialist Sarah Beckstrom, 20, was fatally shot in a shooting on Wednesday in Washington DC.

Her colleague, Andrew Wolfe, twenty-four years old, is still in the hospital in grave state.

Memorials across the state have taken place in their honor.

The president stated he’s talked about a meeting at the presidential residence for the parents of both individuals of the West Virginia National Guard.

“I told them: ‘When you’re ready, because that’s a tough thing, visit the White House. We’re going to recognize her,” the president informed journalists. “And similarly with Andrew, whether he recovers or not.”

Mourners gathered over the past few days at Webster County high school in West Virginia to pay respects to Sarah.

Both they had been fulfilling duties with the state guard as part of Trump’s government program to support policing efforts in the capital.

“She was the kind of student that teachers wished for. She carried herself with inner fortitude, a warm expression and a positive energy that lifted people around her,” Hankins, the principal of her alma mater, told the press. “She was caring, caring and always willing to help others.”

Officials have charged a twenty-nine-year-old suspect with a charge of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder while armed.

The event led the administration to suspend asylum applications and halt issuing visas to possessors of travel documents.

Status of Andrew Wolfe

Andrew Wolfe, a resident of Martinsburg, enlisted in February 2019 and is a 2019 graduate of Musselman High, as reported by the AP.

He remains under medical supervision and is “fighting for his life”, West Virginia leader Morrisey said on television.

Beckstrom, from Summersville, completed her education from Webster County High in mid-2023 and enlisted soon after, working as a MP with distinction, per the state guard.
