Loyal followers of the pop star are calling for that a man who breached a barrier and grabbed the celebrity during Thursday's Wicked: For Good premiere be detained or deported from Singapore.

A circulating video reveals the Australian man shoving aside photographers and lunging at Grande while the actors made its way down a promenade flanked by fans.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo quickly guided the surprised performer away from Mr Wen, who was observed being escorted out of the event by guards.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "let go after being detained", though official papers revealed that he was due to appear on Friday morning. It is uncertain if he was faced legal action.

History of Event Invasions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Controversial Figure", has invaded a celebrity gathering. His Instagram feed contains clips of him interrupting other star-studded functions, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney concert in earlier this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last year.

"Steps should be implemented enforced against him as this is clearly a legal violation," stated an Instagram follower, in a message to a video Mr Wen posted of his act.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" one Instagram user questioned.

Fans Express Concern Over Grande's Past Trauma

Several followers accused Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had spoken of suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a terrorist explosion at the end of her May 2017 show in Manchester, killing 22 people and wounding many.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" said another response on Instagram.

A number of attendees also questioned security officers at the gathering for not being adequately prepared; while different individuals requested digital services to block Mr Wen's uploads.

Reaction and Event Details

In footage shared widely, Grande seemed shocked when she was approached by the man. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted comforting her while Mr Wen was escorted away by staff.

Grande has not commented on the situation, and the premiere activities continued without further issues.

Numerous of attendees had gathered in a crowd of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good regional debut in a Singapore venue, including some who had queued for as long as many hours before it commenced.

The movie, to be launched on 21 November, is the second of a dual interpretation of the acclaimed theatrical show Wicked, which revolves around the unlikely bond between two distinct characters.

The show itself is a adaptation of the 1900 story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the good witch Glinda, was decked out in a champagne pink sequin dress at the event while Erivo, who plays the villainous character, wore a elegant ensemble decorated with roses.

They were joined by cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the highest-grossing motion picture of the previous year in the UK, and received 10 Oscar nominations, winning several for outstanding attire and set decoration.
